Dress code

All girls require a leotard and tights for all dance classes. Skirts or shorts are optional for ballet and ballet/tap classes. Shorts are recommended for all jazz classes and required for acrobatics classes. Boys may wear athletic t-shirts and shorts or pants.

Most shoes can be purchased from the studio. We’ve carefully selected shoes that will look great on our dancers, are comfortable, and will not be a distraction. frequently asked questions

Does Briscuso Dance Studio have a special needs or adaptive class?

All of our special needs students are integrated into our regular classes.   Miss Amber or Miss Julie are happy to discuss your specific needs and find the perfect class for your child.  Whether it's sensory processing disorder, a speech delay, or a mobility issue, just to name a few, we have a class for your child!

How long does the dance session last?

The dance season lasts from September-May with a recital in early June. We offer open enrollment, and accept registrations until February, as long as space is available. While it is not required to participate in the full dance year, those who do are better prepared for the recital and the following season.

Summer classes, camps, and intensives are available June-August.

What is the registration fee used for?

The $30 nonrefundable registration fee per family includes all administrative costs for your dancer(s) throughout the year. It also holds your space in the class until the season begins.

If I’m not sure my child will like dance, do I need shoes?

Yes, it is required that they have proper dance shoes.  Proper equipment is required for all extra-curricular activities.  Not only do proper dance shoes allow a student to participate fully in class, but it ensures they are able to do so safely.

If you are taking a trial class, we encourage you to dance barefoot if you do not have dance shoes.

What if my student changes his/her mind?

Since tuition is paid on a monthly basis, there are no "contracts" to be signed. However, there are no refunds once a month of tuition has been paid and you are expected to pay each month unless you withdraw in writing from the program.  There are no refunds or discounts for missed classes.

Can I watch my child’s class?

Currently, our lobby is closed. You may view your child’s classes via the monitor in the lobby from outside the building.

Does my child have to participate in the recital?

Recital is not required, however, most of our students choose to participate.  Costumes are ordered in October and are non-refundable once they have been ordered.

Does Briscuso Dance Studio host birthday parties?

Yes! The cost is $150 for ten children and $5 for each additional child.  Please contact us for available dates and more information.
